Mary Rogers is an award-winning, Peabody, Massachusetts artist, who paints watercolors and monotypes. Mary’s paintings range from realistic to abstract. She draws her inspiration from nature and focuses on the spiritual essence and energy of landscapes, seascapes, and still life. Her paintings are of New England. She is often drawn to paint on Monhegan Island, an artist community in Maine, due to its scenery filled with cliffs, crashing waves, fishing boats, and magnificent sunsets. She also enjoys painting flowers from her garden. She currently exhibits her paintings at: Newburyport Art Association, Newburyport, MA Marblehead Art Association, Marblehead, MA Peabody International Festival, Peabody, MA Marblehead Festival of the Arts, Marblehead, MA Topsfield Fair, Topsfield, MA Mary has studied art with many teachers, among the most instrumental are: Michiko Erwin, sumi-e Japanese brush painting and still life and Joan Wirth, watercolor painting.
